The Sharp Method Pilates

The Sharp Method comes to you from years of pilates, athletics, barre, and a forever passion for education. We strive to make people move better, live happier and thrive both inside and outside our studio.

​

Our method combines the holistic principles of Pilates movements with bio-mechanically driven fitness exercises. A workout with us is an emotional experience. We feel moving with intention, form and integrity is paramount. We treat each specific body in class like no other, as we know no two bodies are ever alike. This means we offer modifications for those still working on proper alignment as well as variations for the form advanced. And that’s what sets us apart. Your body deserves our attention with every movement.

After taking a week of classes with us you start to really “feel” multiple muscles working at the same time, as well as training the mind to make a full body connection. Time and time again we hear, “I feel muscles I’ve never felt before!” This is why The Sharp Method works for us, and WILL for you! Lean legs, lifted glutes, cinched core, sculpted arms, beautiful smile, heart of gold.

The Sharp Method Pilates Studios Classes

 

SHARPBODY Pilates  L1 + L2​. It’s High Intensity, shaking, sweating, instant gratification, sets are longer.

​

Pilates Flow. Our Contemporary class, the most conservative. Only reps of 10.

 

Pilates Jumpboard. Consider this Cardio (ish), using “fast twitch” muscle fibers, it’s FUN!

​

Pilates Strength. High Intensity, adding heavier weights and cardio to TSM Pilates class.

​

Pilates Recovery. Reformer Stretch, Myofascial Release on Foam Roller + Massage Balls.

​

Pilates Stretch. Therapeutic, decompressing, tension relieving Reformer stretches.

​

Online Content – Includes “On the Reformer” classes if you have one of our machines at home as well as “Off the Reformer” classes for your busy life on the go in home or travel.

Barre Body Pilates

A Little About the Barre Body Pilates Class:

​

Our version of a Barre Body Pilates Class focuses on getting longer, leaner, healthier, happier and svelte physiques. This class combines many aspects of dance, fitness, Pilates, yoga and myofascial release. It’s structured to firm, lift and tighten all your best assets while restoring the congested areas. Our class tones your seat, abdominals, thighs, and arms as well as strengthens your legs and spine while improving your posture. The class varies from high energy to low impact, we work, we stretch, we isolate and lengthen. You will use your own body weight for resistance targeting each of your muscle groups to the point of fatigue. Subsequent to your hard work we then stretch those muscles in a way that promotes that elongated body.

Barre Body Pilates Studios Classes

BBP Barre Fire. Sweat. Cardio. Full body workout. It’s our signature HIGH intensity LOW impact Barre class we like to call BBP Fire Barre. As you will feel the heat in your seat!  Our BBP Barre Fire class focuses on getting longer, leaner, healthier, happier, and svelte physics with an emphasis on high intensity cardio. This class combines many aspects of dance, Pilates, yoga, and myofascial release. Structured to firm, lift, and tone all your best assets while restoring the congested areas. Our class strengthens your seat, thighs, core and arms, while providing flexibility in the spine and improving your posture. This class does work the body to fatigue; however, subsequent to your hard work we stretch your muscles in a way to promote that elongated look. BBP Barre Fire is structured to offer variations for the athlete and modifications for the beginner, injured, or pre/post natal. Nonetheless, you will have fun, your heart rate will elevate, and you will shake that groove thing while slimming your waist. Let’s plié and relevé! Recovery + Stretch is also incorporated into this class by ways of massage balls, foam rolling, and deep stretches. Music is high energy in this class.

BBP Barre Flow. Mind/body connection. Slow and controlled. Stretch. Restorative. It’s our signature LOW intensity LOW impact class we call our BBP Barre Flow. Our BBP Barre Flow class focuses on your full body, slower movements, longer holds, movement for a healthy body. This is a great class if you prefer more of a calm environment, if you are a beginner, have injuries, or pre/post natal. Rather than moving at a brisk pace  we move slower focusing on isometric holds in addition also moving with intention and integrity of the movement. This class combines many aspects of dance, Pilates, yoga, and myofascial release. At times, we will incorporate peppermint oil at the start of class for energy and lavender oil at the end of class to calm the mind waves and cool down. BBP Barre Flow is structured to offer both variations and modifications. After class we want you feeling vibrant, yet more relaxed from getting those longer, deeper stretches and a calm present mind. Recovery + Stretch is also incorporated into this class by ways of massage balls, foam rolling, and deep stretches. Music keeps you “flowing.”
